The CDR-PSU is a forensic tool that provides clean precise power at the crash scene giving investigators clear visual indications that the proper voltage is being supplied to the CDR while data is being collected.  This tool is used in conjunction with a Crash Data Recovery tool to extract information from the data recorder.
